Many thoughts arise when a winemaker gazes at a Field of Vines (“Pra Vinera”). They remember past struggles & past triumphs. They remember techniques that brought flavors to their peak. Their gaze takes in the vineyard’s potential & ponders how best to capture the vines’ offering. In many ways, to a winemaker a vineyard is a field of dreams; dreams rich with the taste of the past & hope for the future.

Italian Stefano Migotto is a legacy winemaker, carrying knowledge of the trade passed down to him from multiple generations of vintners. Raised in northern Italy’s Abano Terme and educated at the University of Padova, Stefano mastered old-world winemaking techniques & traditions. Now residing in Napa, California, he serves as head winemaker for Pra Vinera.
